Worked examples and tips
On a 10×10 board, one row's clue is 8. Whether the run starts at cell 1 or cell 3, cells 3–8 are always filled, so fill those 6 cells first and leave the 2 cells at each end for now. Once the row has its run of 8, the remaining 2 cells must be empty and can be crossed out (with "Auto-cross" on, this happens automatically).

Detailed rules and controls
Controls
- Tap a cell to fill or cross it with the current pen, and tap it again to erase. Press and drag to keep marking along a row or column.
- On a computer, right-click to cross a cell. With a keyboard, arrow keys move, Space or Enter marks, X crosses, Delete erases, and M switches between fill and cross.
- If the cells are too small, enlarge the board: drag the clue area or use two fingers to move it, and pinch to switch between the enlarged and full view.
- The current row and column and their clues are highlighted; clue numbers that are already satisfied fade out.
Solving basics
- When the clues plus one gap between each add up to exactly the row length, the whole row can be filled in straight away.
- When a run is longer than half the remaining space, the overlapping cells in the middle must be filled wherever it goes.
- Once a row's filled cells already match its clue, none of the other cells are filled, so you can cross them all out.
