8×8 board. The game starts with two black and two white discs placed diagonally in the center; Black moves first and the players alternate.
Every move must outflank opposing discs along a row, column or diagonal (your discs at both ends); all outflanked discs flip to your color, and one move can flip in several directions at once.
With no legal move your turn is skipped automatically and your opponent plays again. When neither side can move (usually a full board) the game ends: more discs wins, equal counts are a draw.
Online games allow 30 seconds per move; on timeout a stone is placed automatically and auto-play starts. Players swap who goes first every game, and leaving mid-game counts as a loss. Offline games are untimed.
