How to play

Parking Escape gameplay screenshot
  • Move the cars that are in the way so the red car can drive out through the exit on the right. Cars only move forward and backward along their length: they can't turn or pass through other cars.
  • Drag a car to where you want it, or tap a car and then an empty space in its row (or column). A car with only one place to go drives there with a single tap.
  • Each drive of a car counts as 1 move however many spaces it goes, and moving the same car again right after still counts as 1 move. Every level shows its minimum number of moves; clearing it in that many is a perfect clear.
  • Levels keep coming and get harder as you go, and every player gets the same puzzle for each level number. You can undo and restart a level; a hint shows the next move of a shortest solution.
  • Your progress is saved in this browser so you can pick up where you left off, and this device also keeps your fewest moves for each level.

Detailed rules and controls

Controls
  • Drag a car along its length; when you let go, it stops on the nearest space.
  • Tap a car to select it, then tap a space inside the dotted outline. When a hint is showing, tap the glowing car to make that move.
  • Keyboard: Tab selects a car, the arrow keys move it one space along its length, and Esc cancels the selection.
Moves and hints
  • Moves are counted the same way as the minimum: driving one car to any place it can reach is 1 move.
  • Restart takes you back to the start of the level and resets the move count; Undo only takes back moves in the current level.
  • A level where you used a hint doesn't count toward your best record on this device.

Frequently asked questions

How many moves is it to move the same car twice in a row?

A vertical car blocks the red car. You drive it down one space, see that isn't enough, and drive it down one more: you moved the same car twice in a row, so it counts as 1 move. If you move another car in between, moving it again is a new move. The minimum is counted the same way, so plan ahead and drive each car to its spot in one go.
