Played on a 15×15 board. Black moves first; players take turns placing a stone on an empty intersection, and stones never move.
The first to line up five stones horizontally, vertically or diagonally wins; six or more in a row also wins, and there are no forbidden moves. If the board fills up without a five, the game is a draw.
Online games allow 30 seconds per move; on timeout a stone is placed automatically and auto-play starts. Players swap who goes first every game, and leaving mid-game counts as a loss. Offline games are untimed.
