FreeCell

Juggle four free cells; almost every deal can be solved

How to play

  • Win by moving all 52 cards to the four foundations, building each suit from A to K. Every card is face up from the start.
  • Build the eight columns down in alternating colors. Any card or run can go into an empty column, and each of the four free cells holds one card.
  • You can move (empty free cells + 1) × 2^(empty columns) cards at once. When moving into an empty column, that column itself doesn't count.
  • Select cards, then click a highlighted destination. Double-click sends a card to its foundation, or else to a column or free cell. Cards no longer needed are collected automatically, and foundation cards can't be taken back.
  • Practice deals a random classic Microsoft game number (all proven solvable) with undo and hints. The official Daily Challenge uses a solver-verified deal with undo and hints disabled. Each game lasts up to 30 minutes.
